Fear of death hovers always in the minds of people. The best creation of God are human beings. Man has created many things. He has found solution to many problems, but when he listens or thinks about death, a fear, or an anxiety prevails to give sleepless nights.
Fear of death is the fear that man has never been able to conquer or vanquish, in spite of all achievements and discoveries. The pandemic took the life of many and the struggle to survive is in progress till now. The death has not given many to even meet their near and dear ones for the last time.
Though man behaves as if everything has been achieved in life, death comes with an invisible smile. The smile is audible and yet, we have no method to counter it.
Yes, death is unavoidable, one who has taken birth has to genuflect to the unseen door.
Man earns money, constructs building, rides bikes, cars, aeroplane, but don't know whether he can see the next day or next moment. A mere accident, a serious mishap may snatch the keys of life and death may clasp from which one can't come back.
With death, nothing changes. Newspaper seller drops newspaper, the morning tea is prepared without the decease. The son as usual goes to office, the daughter lives life with her husband. The grandson and the granddaughter go to school. Nothing finds a stop. Our culture is like that, we never preserve the corpse. Through funerals, we burn the body and return home. After observing restrictions for certain days, we return to our normal working formula.
Yes, fear of death sometimes troubles us, but in the life we get much allure to fight with each other for property, money etc. The race to outdo others never comes down, but suddenly when we come across death of someone, we are temporarily soaked in pain and thought. The temporary pain or thought find its release very soon through different allures or task that bring us to the normal race.
Whether one does good work or bad work, death is compulsory. Some are remembered and worshipped even after death. Many are never remembered and when their name come by chance, they meet with sheer hate and scolding.
Yes, death is unavoidable, but fear has to be eradicated from the mind. Unless fear is eradicated, we can't live our life peacefully, we can't do our assigned work sincerely. Yes, death is the truth, and yet we have to live with minimum allure and lead a purposeful life. If fear of death can curtail our badness, then it is good to hold it in our bosom and mind.
A haiku can be indited below about today's article.
"Fear me, says the voice
Of death to ignorant man
And wise man veers off.''
