    The art of flattery

Many people do many outstanding works. For those works, if they are praised, there is no harm in it. Unnecessary praise is quite dangerous. The narcissists enjoy the praise, be it a true one or false one. We can see a lot of people in our society who believe in false praise. The false praise is the art of flattery that many people employ in their life to achieve undeserving success in life.

Is it really difficult to be master of the art of flattery? The answer may differ from one person to another. The art of flattery is applied to lift oneself to gain profit or position in life. Those who practise sycophancy in office, find it the best way to get result than hard work.

For the sake of good confidential report and promotion, they go to any level. For the sake of position and power, they become slaves to the bosses. These days, it has become a common phenomenon that the boss likes the subordinates who come with intention every day to follow his orders blindly.

Many times the most deserving candidates in spite of their hard work and sincerity don't get promotions, but their level of satisfaction can't be challenged.

Many politicians are very good at the art of flattery. They do many things to impress the party supremo to get the desired things in favour. Sometimes, they become able to get tickets to contest for elections than the deserving ones. The art of flattery help them. They may not work for the development of people, but it is a harsh reality that prevails that they work for their own personal benefits.

When one praises one's wife for the work she does for the family and children, it is not a false praise or a flattery. It is a reality that shows the chivalrous act of a husband. When parents praise children for their successful career, it is not a false praise at all. It is the immense love or happiness that drop from the lips of parents through loving and caring words.

In Ramayana, when Bharat placed the shoes of brother Ram and praised him as the real king of Ayodhya, it was never a display of false praise. It was profound respect and love that made him to do those things. Those act made him the most lovable brother.

Yes, life is not all about flattery. The practice of the art of flattery may give success, money, name and fame, but the real satisfaction comes when we do sincere work and follow the righteous path. Success may give comforts, but if it achieved in inappropriate way, it is not going to give real happiness. Yes, the real appreciation and the real finding of mistake can make a man strong in life.

A beautiful poem has been indited below for today's article.
    ''The art of flattery
    Applies, the old home,
    But callous I am
    To Pay a deaf ear.
    Past dances
    But present allure
    Ushers me
    To the new home.

    The art of flattery
    Applies, the old home,
    But greedy I am
    To not care.
    Childhood days try to stop,
    But young age cravings
    Usher me
    To new home.''
